Daniel has already been nominated twice for the Innovation Award of North Rhine-Westphalia. In 2020 in the category „outstanding innovative achievement“ and in 2017 in the category „outstanding young researchers“.
He was also nominated for the Communicator-Preis 2019 by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation) and the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft (Donors‘ association for the promotion of humanities and sciences in Germany).
In 2017 Daniel was further awarded the Manfred-Hirschvogel-Award of the Frank-Hirschvogel-Stiftung in the category Best Ph.D. thesis 2017 in the field of mechanical engineering.
In 2016 he received the GfT-Awardin the category Best Ph.D. thesis 2016 from the Gesellschaft für Triboligie e.V. and also passed his Ph.D. with summa cum laude, for wich he received the Borches Badge of RWTH Aachen.
In 2015 he received a Best Paper Award of the WGP Congress 2015 and his student Herman Voigts was awarded with the GfT-Award in the category Best Bachelor Thesis.
Additionally senseering entered the final of the Out Of The Box.NRW Award 2020, the final of the eco://award 2020 in the category “startup” and in 2021 the final of the Pitch & Pinot: #IndustrialTech & #IoT 2021 Award by Bitkom and High Tech Gründerfond.
